Welcome to 2010 (Update 15th January 2010) Welcome to a new year. We hope everyone in the region received some of the much needed rain over the Christmas break. In December BJFG advertised the Project Officer's position. We are happy to announce that the position has been filled. We look forward to formally welcoming the new coordinator to the group and the BJFG members in early February. The Federal Government's Caring for our Country Business Plan for 2010-11 has been released. We are eager to examine the plan and see what new opportunities will be available for the group for the next financial year.
2009-2010 FUNDING YEAR (Update December 2009) This year BJFG has been successful in acquiring funds from Powerlink and Woolworths. Landholders who submitted Powerlink Expressions of Interest (EOI) will be happy to hear that BJFG was successful in securing funding for on ground works in Round 1 and Round 2 of Powerlinks "Community Partnerships to Improve the Environment" program. Successful applicants are currently being notified for Round 1 funding. BJFG has received funding from Woolworths thanks to the Landcare Australia Corporate Partnerships program. $37,400 of suppoort will be used to assist land managers in upgrading to precision farming systems on the Brigalow Jimbour Floodplains. See Projects & Funding for more information on funding available for Pastures, Tree planting, and Laser Levelling. All necessary application forms (Funding Conditions Agreements) can be found by clicking on the Forms tab.
